Home in the Park
After deciding to renovate instead of moving to a new residence, Don and Beth invited us into their cozy home to get the job done. After a very involved design phase, we were able to renovate the entire kitchen, dining room, and living room, while adding new floors throughout, all while they remained living alongside us.
Needless to say, we all became quite close as we cut and hammered our way through their home and daily routine.
A decorative separation between the living and dining area was removed, and a new continuous coffered ceiling and flooring installed. A new gas fireplace was installed as well as LED pot lights to decorate the coffer panels. The open yet inviting new room works as a spacious and classy entertaining area while still allowing for comfortable day-to-day living.
We opened up the wall into the kitchen and installed new high-end millwork, granite countertops, and tile backsplash throughout. Glass fronts and LED lights in the top section of the uppers make for striking display areas. We installed a tin ceiling that adds both brilliance and interest to the room. The old sitting area and brick hearth were removed and the space was re-purposed with a new fireplace, millwork, and lighting to create a convenient dining area that flows seamlessly with the rest of the home.
Following that, we added a guest bedroom and bath so that friends and family can more easily come and share their new home.
